Sumeria

$148

These spider studs were named after the site of the earliest known civilization, located in the southernmost part of Mesopotamia, between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers—which also happens to be where the ancient Sumerian goddess associated with weaving, known as Uttu, originated. Uttu is often envisioned as a spider spinning a web, and as such, the same cuneiform symbol used to write the Sumerian word ‘spider’ is also used to write her name. Though most of us have a fear of spiders, these stunning 14k gold studs are quite possibly the one and only exception. In fact, the goddess-like confidence these spider studs radiate make it almost impossible not to want to wear them 24/7!
