WHAT IS A FOREVER BRACELET?
A fun, in-store experience where one of our welders will custom fit and hand weld a dainty chain bracelet around your wrist! We use a jump ring to weld the chain together, making the bracelet clasp free.
HOW DO I SCHEDULE A FITTING?
Use the "Book Now" button on our instagram profile page @sugarandlola. If you don't have instagram you can call the store phone 803-728-0063 to schedule an appointment.
Appointments are 15 minutes per piece of welded jewelry. If you know you want more than one piece of permanent jewelry, book a 15 minute appointment for each piece of jewelry you want. Also, each person in your party will need their own appointment.
Store hours are M-F 10-5 and Sa 10-3. We usually have welding every day at the store but check the online booking via our instagram profile page @sugarandlola to see what's available.
WHAT TYPES OF CHAINS CAN I CHOOSE FROM?
We offer a selection of 14k gold filled and sterling silver chains for $52-$72. Additionally, we have solid 14k yellow, white, and rose gold chains that range in price from $78-$300+ depending on the type of chain.
Both types of metals are durable. There can be slight discoloration with the gold filled chains where the links rub together over time.
HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF IT?
We recommend cleaning your bracelet about once a week. We sell jewelry cleaner for $14.99.
Dawn dish soap is a good alternative. Wash under warm water and use a soft bristle brush to gently scrub the soap in to clean between links.
WHAT IF IT BREAKS OR STRETCHES?
If you need a size adjustment or your bracelet put back on within the first two weeks of your appointment there is no reweld charge. After the initial two weeks, there is a $10 rewelding fee. If your bracelet stretches over time, which is possible due to the nature of metal, bring it in and we are happy to adjust it for the same $10 fee.
Not everyone's lifestyle is the same. And chains are not indestructible. There is a chance your bracelet can get snagged and break off, especially if you are rougher on jewelry. The longevity of permanent jewelry ultimately depends on user care.
All sales are final. Sugar & Lola is not liable for lost or broken jewelry.
CAN I GET IT WET?
Yes. All of the chain materials we weld with are high quality.
The gold-filled and sterling silver will hold up best when you are vigilant about cleaning them as this helps to avoid tarnishing where the links rub together and helps keep their shine as well.
The 14k solid gold will not tarnish.
WHAT IF I NEED TO TAKE IT OFF?
No one likes to think they'll need an MRI of their wrist, but hey, life happens. If you need to remove it, cut it with a pair of kitchen scissors at the jump ring where it was originally welded. WHAT WRIST SHOULD I GET IT ON?
We recommend the wrist that you don't wear a watch on. But we will weld it on whichever one you choose.
WHAT ABOUT WEARING THROUGH AIRPORT SECURITY?
No problem!
ANKLETS, NECKLACES and CHARMS
Yes, we weld forever anklets and necklaces.
For anklets, we highly recommend going with gold filled because anklets are sort of temperamental and can come off more easily if you're rough on jewelry. The price of these range from $72-$92.
Forever necklaces in gold filled or sterling silver start at $72. A 14k solid gold forever necklace is sold by the inch. A price quote will be given to you after you pick out your chain and necklace length.
We also sell cute little charms starting at $30 that you can add on to your forever jewelry at any time. Most charms have double bails, meaning they connect on both sides of the chain.
WILL YOU MAKE MY PERSONAL BRACELET INTO A FOREVER BRACELET?
Yes, we will! BYOC (bring your own chain!) option is $25. Schedule a fitting and bring it with you and we'll take a look to make sure we can work with it.
Rewelds for permanent jewelry purchased at another store is a $15 fee.
